A new free app provides a means of using a MobileMe iDisk from an iPhone or iPod touch.Featured Whitepaper
5 Best Practices for Smartphone Support
While Mac and Windows users have always been able to use iDisk as if it were any other networked volume, there hasn't been a convenient way of accessing it from an iPhone. Enter MobileMe iDisk, a free app from Apple. Once running and connected, MobileMe iDisk provides a listing of the folders and files in the iDisk. iPhone compatible files (eg those from iWork or Microsoft Office, as well as PDFs, JPEGs and movies) can be viewed. Files are cached, so recently viewed items can be reopened without having to download them again. The app also supports MobileMe's sharing feature, which sends emails containing a download link to the selected recipients. MobileMe iDisk can display a list of currently shared files, and stop the sharing of any of them. MobileMe iDisk requires iPhone 3.0. |
