The United Nations’ International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda has purchased software from web services company The ADWEB Agency to consolidate the information collected by the Office of the Prosecution (OTP) in impeaching leaders of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

The ADWEB Agency’s Intranet DASHBOARD solution will be used to integrate trial information in prosecutions.

“As part of the pilot program the OTP will use Intranet DASHBOARD as a turn-key solution to integrate trial information and evidence, and reduce the administrative burdens currently imposed on staff. This will enable the prosecutors to remain trial focussed to meet their strict deadline,” said Campbell Dobbin IT director of The ADWEB Agency. “We are confident that Intranet DASHBOARD will not only meet the OTP’s objectives, but will also create a return on investment in a short period of time.”

Intranet DASHBOARD comprises of 35 applications including document and content management in addition to business and collaborative tools to enhance communication across work teams.

The Office of the Prosecution in the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda has been in operation for 10 years. The tribunal was established for the prosecution of persons responsible for genocide and other serious violations of international humanitarian law committed in the territory of Rwanda between 1 January 1994 and 31 December 1994.
