Durability features include a proprietary wear-resistant coating on the keys, an accelerometer to help protect the hard drive, a scratch-resistant LCD cover, and a magnesium hinge bracket. Options for the 5101 are a six-cell battery (vs the standard four-cell unit), an 80 or 120G SSD (in place of the 160 or 320G 7200 rpm hard drive), and an integrated wireless broadband module. Depending on the configuration, the Mini 5101 comes with Windows XP Home or Vista Business with an XP downgrade. The Mini 5101 will ship in August. The starting price is $A799. |
