“ComOps will replace several existing software packages which will shortly reach the end of their lifecycle due to Dotmar’s growth and its multitude of product offerings. These include a range of engineering plastic shapes, engineered parts and conveyor product solutions serving industries as varied as food and beverage, rail, mining, automotive and utilities.” Matulin said the ComOps UNIBIS ERP and BI solution would provide Dotmar with greater visibility into its manufacturing, distribution and accounting processes across all key business functions and product groups. “We reviewed several solutions and selected ComOps based on the simplicity and functionality of the system as well as the company’s proven and successful track record in implementing ERP and BI solutions with similar businesses in Australia.” Dotmar will implement ComOps in a phased approach at its office and warehousing locations across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. The initial project will include work on building back-end systems, master files, databases and mapping, to be followed by an initial testing phase prior to full deployment and roll-out. According to Matulin, Dotmar anticipates that the new ComOps ERP and BI solution will provide for productivity and cost savings right across the business as previous manual tasks would now be automated “resulting in greater accuracy and faster information transfer.” “With ComOps, we’re now moving to a platform where we’re replacing manual, labour intensive functions with fully transparent, automated and auditable processes. In addition to the technology architecture itself which is visually attractive, we also liked the integrity and professionalism of the ComOps team.” |
