Come on, Wii Sports Resort is not even released outside of Japan, so how come every time I try to buy a MotionPlus, the store is sold out? Do people understand this only works with selected titles?Featured Whitepaper

The MotionPlus device was released earlier this month as a stand-alone add-on for the Wii-mote motion controller on the Nintendo home console. But the fact is, I can only see a number of reasons for this device to be constantly sold out in – seemingly – every major retail outlet in one of Australia’s major cities. These reasons are: * People are so well planned in their accessories purchasing, that they have got in early weeks before Wii Sports: Resort hits retail stores. * Nintendo are intentionally undersupplying the device to increase the hype, something Nintendo was accused of during the initial flood of popularity for the Wii. * Virtua Tennis 2009, Grand Slam Tennis or Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 (the Limited Edition) has such fanatical support on the Wii that owners feel they must buy four MotionPlus devices for each of these titles they own. * Wii owners don’t understand that the MotionPlus only improves accuracy on a handful of titles. * I am just going to the wrong stores.
