It is available in three colours - black, white, or purple - and also suits the iPhone 3G. At 1.9 cm (0.75 in) thick, the company claims it is the thinnest Apple-certified external battery for the iPhone 3GS. The 3GS itself is 1.2 cm (0.48 in) thick. According to Mophie, the battery extends the life of a full charge by (not to) as much as 270 hours on standby, 4.5 hours of 3G talk time, 10 hours of 2G talk time, 4.5 hours of 3G data use, 8 hours of Wi-Fi use, 27 hours of audio playback, or 9 hours of video playback. A USB cable is included to allow simultaneous charging of the Juice Pack Air and the iPhone's internal battery. The system is designed so the external battery is drained first, and the charge level can be displayed on a set of four LEDs. The Australian distributor is Conexus, and the Juice Pack Air sells for $A129.95. For readers in the US, the Juice Pack Air is available direct from Mophie for $US79.95. |
