Sure, it was bundled with each Wii that has been sold (except in Japan), but how can Nintendo top the best selling game of all time?

Some time back I copped a little bit of flak suggesting that Nintendo did not sell the Wii, but in fact sold Wii Sports , and probably with some good reason.

The combination of price, innovative control mechanism and light Wii Sports experience pulls all the right synapses in place to make modern man reach into their wallets.  It was more than simply the brilliance of Wii Sports.  Still, Wii Sports was a significant part of that combo.

So how could Nintendo top the genius of Wii Sports? 

Well, with a new combination of technology and enjoyable experience.

First and quickly the technology:  Up steps the Wii MotionPlus, a small additional add on device that plugs into the end of the Wii Mote, promising increased accuracy to the on screen Wii waggle hallmark.

Believe the hype; from the moment the MotionPlus snaps into the Wii Mote you can feel the control difference within many of the mini-games, whether this adds to a games enjoyment is however, debatable.

Wii Sports: Resort is the sequel to the bundled Wii Sports which was a great showcase for the innovative control system when the Wii was released, and the sequel, for the most part does the same for the MotionPlus.
