Customers of Freshtel's own cellphone-based VoIP service, Freshtel Mobilelink, can use their existing mobile phone numbers to call other Freshtel users free of charge. All other calls to mobile, landline and international numbers are charged at a substantially cheaper rate than mobile calls. Freshtel Mobilelink is also compatible with ten Nokia WiFi enabled handsets in the N and E series, including the popular N95, E65 and E51. Freshtel is also developing mobile applications for the Google Android and Blackberry platforms, which, it says, should be ready for release in the near future. The company released the initial version of the application in March, saying that it would also offer it to other VoIP service providers to enable them to provide it to their clients. O'Donnell said in March that "Our mobile application has the ability to integrate with global VoIP providers, and we can sublicense the technology to specialist software licensing companies. One of the key selling points for Freshtel's technology is that we offer an automated set up and configuration which other providers would have to invest significantly to develop."
