iSOFT’s Malaysian agreement is to provide software licenses and support services for its latest version of its eHIS solution at the Kepala Batas Hospital in Penang, the Lahad Datu Hospital in Sabah, and Serdang Hospital in the state of Selangor. According to Wim Botermans, managing director of iSOFT Asia, the five-year support and maintenance agreement for Serdang started in January this year, while agreements for Kepala Batas and Lahad Datu began in January 2008. Botermans said the Systematic Conglomerate was awarded the contract by the Ministry of Health, which was expected to finalise, by June 2010 contracts for the remaining six hospitals that currently use iSOFT’s eHIS solution, valued at an estimated $18 million. “The continued use of our eHIS solution at these hospitals secures our position as the largest supplier of healthcare systems in Malaysia, and gives us the opportunity to strengthen our relationship with the Ministry of Health and participate in new innovations in healthcare.” |
