Australian-listed IT services group, Objective Corporation has secured a $10 million software and services contract with the Welsh Assembly Government to deliver an enterprise-wide solution over five years.

To secure the deal, Objective, which expects to be paid $10 million to deliver its solution, partnered Siemens IT Solutions and Services, which is the Assembly’s prime contractor.

According to Objective (ASX:OCL), the deployment of its solution will “position them (the Assembly) at the forefront of public sector best practice information management.”

Objective CEO, Tony Walls, said the deal with the Welsh Assembly was a significant
achievement for the company in the UK, and demonstrated its “commitment to the public sector” and to long-term direct customer relationships, which he added, “continues to be valued in the
market.”

“It is a privilege to be trusted by the Welsh Assembly Government to deliver a programme of this significance and scale.”

Walls said the Objective solution would be rolled out to 6,500 users at multiple sites across Wales, providing the Welsh Assembly Government with a robust and effective information management infrastructure.

“The Welsh Assembly Government will become one of the largest enterprise-wide deployments of eDRMS in the UK public sector. Coupled with our leadership position within the Scottish Government, this contract will extend our offering to a larger segment of UK regional government.”
