Hewlett-Packard's new Photosmart Premium all-in-one, due out this fall, will let consumers print material directly from the Web, without having to go through a computer

The inkjet printer-scanner-fax-copier, whose full name is the HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web, has a 4.33-inch touchscreen and can print wirelessly via WiFi or Bluetooth.

In addition, though, it can access the Web, navigate Web pages through the touchscreen, and print material on demand.

The online material will be accessed through specific applications, some of which will be preloaded on the printer and others of which will be available through an HP Apps Studio store.

Already signed up to provide apps and printing capabilities are USA Today, Google, Fandango, Coupons.com, DreamWorks Animation, Nickelodeon, Web Sudoku, and Weathernews.

Using the relevant app, consumers would be able to print news stories, Google maps, movie tickets, shopping coupons, coloring pages, and other material.

Users with Snapfish accounts will also be able to print or upload photos to their accounts.

The printer will cost $US399.
