Optus is going all out to capitalise on being the first carrier in Australia to bring the new iPhone to market, with the installation of an inflatable demonstration centre at Sydney's Circular Quay and and four days of presentations from celebrity iphone users extolling the virtues of the device and its applications.Featured Whitepaper

However the initial focus will have to be on the new software and the applications: when iTWire visited on the morning of Monday 22 June Optus had no new iPhones to show off: all the demonstrations were based on the current model. The new iPhone will be available from Optus on 26 June. A wide range of speakers will be delivering up to eight sessions daily from Monday 22 – Thursday 25 June. Presenters include: - journalist and broadcaster Mia Freedman; celebrity trainer Michelle Bridges; radio host James Mathison; writer, author, television and radio presenter Samantha Brett (billed as " Australia’s number one dating and relationships guru"); several social media and technology experts including Firemint (developers of the world’s number one Application Flight Control game) and Blunty 3000 (billed as one of Australia’s leading video bloggers).
