Kerio has begun shipping its MailServer groupware server as a virtual appliance for Parallels Desktop and Server virtualisation products for Mac OS X.Featured Whitepaper

MailServer Virtual Appliance for Parallels is ready for use, and comes packaged with CentOS 5.3 Linux as the guest operating system. This allows faster deployment and easier backup and disaster recovery. according to Kerio officials. "With the powerful hardware options available on the Mac platform, we believe it is ideally suited for organizations to realize the benefits of virtualization," said James Gudeli, Kerio's vice president of business development. "Parallels Server for Mac allows Kerio MailServer to run alongside other applications, each with their dedicated system resources, providing greater stability and value," he added. Kerio MailServer Virtual Appliance for Parallels costs $US499 for 10 users, or $US599 with integrated McAfee Anti-Virus. A fully-functional 30-day trial version is available for download. |
