Another round of critical security fixes for Firefox E-mail

Firefox 3.0.11, the latest release of the widely-used open-source browser, addresses four critical security issues along with other bug fixes.

Firefox 3.0.11 arrived over the weekend, delivering nine security fixes. Four are rated critical, one high, two moderate and two low.

The critical vulnerabilities include some that could allow the execution of arbitrary code as well as a privilege escalation issue.

Other issues involve SSL tampering, arbitrary domain cookie access, and URL spoofing with invalid Unicode characters.

Other changes in Firefox 3.0.11 include stability improvements, an SQLLite upgrade (used internally by Firefox), and a fix for a bookmark corruption problem.

If you are using the Windows or Mac OS X version and don't want to wait for Firefox to get around to automatically downloading 3.0.11, use the Check for Updates command.
