On the fact that Sony did not take the opportunity to add a second analogue stick or a touch screen, Ephraim was a little evasive, but indications are that the PSP Go is a step towards a bigger goal.

On the PS3 front, Ephraim was happy to talk up the exclusives on the horizon, but agrees that MAG (multiplayer action game?!) needs retitling. “I will submit the suggestion for a name change” he said.

Like many on the show floor, Ephraim was surprised and delighted with the announcement of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV – possibly the first Massive Multiplayer game for the console.

Ephraim is proud of the directions PS3 is going and the space it is starting to inhabit With games such as ModNation Racers, or as Ephraim puts it “Little Big Racer”, PS3 is “starting to deliver social gaming, music and movie streaming, and now we are starting to move into that PC space of MMO’s, it’s a lot to juggle, but the consumer with the PS3, as we have always said, has the choice to do whatever they want.”

“Through in Blu-ray movies and all the other functions and you can see that when we launched we said the PS3 is future proof, and has got at least a ten year life.”

“By the way,” Epharaim remembers”speaking with the developers, there is no way God of War III could have been done on any other system because of the processing power required”

“There’s downloadable content that hasn’t even been talked about here, on indie games and smaller games.” Ephraim said “We have clearly shown at this conference, with rich games such as Uncharted 2 and so forth, that for innovation in gaming, we are really delivering content to core gamers, but then we have content such as Hanna Montana and others that appeal to a younger market.”

“As far as content coming out, we have really come up spades with exclusive content for both PSP and PS3” Ephraim proudly concludes.
