Microsoft has slotted one of its own veterans of the business IT market into the role of director of its Australian Dynamics Business group.

Chris Ridd, who has worked with Microsoft for 13 years, and has 20 years experience in the IT business solutions industry, will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth plans of the Dynamics Business group including sales, marketing, channel strategy and day to day operational leadership.

During his 13 years at Microsoft, Ridd he has held leadership roles including enterprise sales, mid-market business management, marketing and channel management, and most recently was sales director for the southern commercial, enterprise & partner group.

Ridd said today that “organisations now, more than ever, are looking for a new generation of CRM and ERP solutions that will drive their growth and deliver efficiencies with lower total operating costs, and Dynamics is ideally positioned to deliver this.”

According to Ridd, major market trends show that the internet, in particular, is transforming the way both technology vendors and Australian companies do business, and, he maintains, this “presents opportunities for Microsoft Dynamics, and our partners, to deliver innovation and offer the power of choice through both on-premise and hosted offerings.”

Chris Ridd will report to Microsoft Australia’s small and midmarket solutions and partner director, Paul Voges.
