According to the joint announcement by CSC and AMP, the new contract is valued at $150 million, but allows for the provision of additional projects, work orders and other non-infrastructure services, with AMP expecting to award CSC a total of approximately $300 million over the six-years. CSC Australian president, Nick Wilkinson, says the signing of the contract extension makes the partnership with AMP “one of the longest running strategic information technology (IT) outsourcing relationships in Australia.” “Our long-standing relationship has set a benchmark not only for CSC but the outsourcing industry in Australia as a whole. Introducing solutions that achieve economic efficiencies is imperative in the current climate, and CSC has continued to deliver the results AMP needs to excel in such a competitive industry. Through our collaborative and trusted approach, we were able to offer a proposal that addressed AMP’s requirements while providing flexibility to address future objectives.” According to AMP CIO, Lee Barnett, CSC and AMP have worked successfully together over the past 16 years, “delivering programs that strengthen AMP’s operating platform and improve business efficiencies,” and, he says, “extending this contract enables CSC to provide AMP with services that further leverage operational efficiencies year on year.” |
