HCL Technologies subsidiary, SAP vendor Axon,  has appointed a new head of its Australian and New Zealand operations to drive sales across the two markets.

HCL Axon’s new chief is Mohan Raskutti, who has 25 years experience in IT and SAP consulting, much of it in the Asia Pacific region.

Announcing the appointment of Raskutti, Brian Pereira, HCL AXON's head for Asia Pacific, Japan and the Middle East, says the company is looking to be the “#1 SAP player globally in the government, utilities, A&D and hi-tech verticals by 2012.”

Pereira says that, prior to joining HCL AXON, Raskutti held numerous executive and leadership roles across the Asia Pacific region, and was instrumental in starting up and growing the SAP supply chain
management service line at Oxygen Business Solutions.

“I am confident that with Mohan in charge of our ANZ operation, we will be able to accelerate our growth by delivering unique value on an end-to-end basis for customers who have chosen SAP as their strategic technology platform and whose business challenge is transformation.

“HCL AXON has enormous potential given the complementary strengths of AXON and HCL’s
SAP practice. AXON provides us with strong business benefit led consulting and implementation capabilities while HCL offers strong global delivery based application and infrastructure management capabilities.”
