NetComm's range of all-in-one ADSL2+ modem/routers now includes the NB6Plus4Wn, which features 802.11n wireless networking.

In addition to the normal capabilities such as a four 10/100 Ethernet ports, a built-in firewall, and port forwarding and triggering, the NetComm NB6Plus4Wn supports 802.11n for faster wireless networking.

Other features include Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) for quality of service, Wireless Protected Setup (supporting both the PIN and pushbutton methods), and multiple SSIDs.

"A full range of advanced wireless security elements guarantee network integrity," company officials claimed.

These include the ability to isolate wireless clients from each other. In this mode, the router blocks traffic from MAC addresses associated with wireless connections from reaching other addresses that are also on the WLAN.

Wireless Distribution System (WDS) is also supported, allowing the NB6Plus4Wn to work with other devices to extend the range of wireless coverage without requiring wired links.

The $A249 NB6Plus4Wn is aimed at the home and small business markets.
