Yeah, it's an outdated gag, but the spirit lives on in Drunk Sniper, a photorealistic game for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Let's stick to the developer's description: "Drunk Sniper application is turning iPhone or iPod touch into male body organ which can be realistically manipulated by the user while relieving themselves of a couple of beers."

"You have to tilt your iPhone just like you would the actual body organ" to compensate for the simulated swaying under the influence of alcohol.

Each level assumes another beer has been drunk, so the swaying increases.

Rated "12+" for mild alcohol use and crude humour, Drunk Sniper runs on the iPhone or iPod touch and costs $US0.99/$A1.19 (introductory price for an unspecified period - "normally $US1.99").

Drunk Sniper is not the first example of toilet humour to find its way to the App Store.

Others include Pee Monkey Toilet Trainer (an arcade-style 'aim' game, currently number 7 on Apple's 'top free apps' list for Australia and number 26 in the US),  iFlush - Public Utility and iFlush Toilet (both let you drop a photo into an on-screen toilet and flush it away), and iToots and Pull My Finger! (fart machines).

What was that about it being impossible to underestimate the taste of the public?
