The Convention Centre, due to open shortly, has been booked as the venue for 45 conventions already. Among the largest planned for the first full year of operation is the 68th World Science Fiction Convention to be held in September 2010. Other high-profile projects using Belden audio-visual and data cables include the Gold Coast Convention Centre, the Opera House, the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, Fairfax's Media House, the Australian Defence Force's Joint Operations Command, RMIT University and Deloitte's head office. "We are now seeing commercial enterprises in new and existing buildings demanding broadcast grade cables to ensure high levels of performance are delivered from their audio and video installations where system downtime is not an option," said Belden regional manager Adam Callender. "We know that the reasons why Belden cable was selected [for the Melbourne Convention Centre] were because of its performance and product quality, the support provided and the 25-year end-to-end warranty, which gives the operators complete security and peace of mind for the future," he added. |
