Just a month after entering the Aussie market, UK mobile services company, Lebara Mobile’s Australian business seems to be moving along nicely, with the company today announcing an additional 4,700 retailers will join the 3,800 outlets across the country already offering its mobile pre-paid recharges.

Lebara says its mobile customers in Australia can now purchase pre-paid mobile recharge vouchers in more than 8,500 retail outlets, and the company’s head of marketing, Sheila Panchani, says the launch of Lebara in Australia is part of a global expansion plan that’s already yielded a 98 percent growth in revenue over 2008.

Panchani says Lebara offers high-quality, low-cost international mobile services, and “to have this level of retailers offering Lebara Mobile recharge vouchers just a month after market entry is an excellent result for our business.

“Our sales team is committed to delivering a fast-growing network of recharge outlets that are easily accessible to our diverse customer base, through direct sales activity and our relationship with e-pay.”

According to Panchani, since launching in Australia a month ago, in partnership with Vodafone Australia, Lebara has already recorded an “influx of thousands of new local customers.”

“Customer service hours have been extended from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and the multilingual service is now available in nine languages: English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, French and Japanese.”

Panchani also says that Lebara has extended the validity period for its recharge vouchers to a full 365 days from activation, a “value-add that allows customers more time to use the full value of their call credit.

“We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service in Australia and we believe these offers, increasing access to recharge facilities and customer service additions reflect what is important to our local customers.”

Panchani also confirmed that Lebara’s launch offer to receive an additional 50 per cent free credit on all recharges remained in place.
