Another senior Telstra executive is leaving to return to the US.

Tom Lamming, Telstra's senior vice president, transformation, will leave Telstra on 30 June.

Outgoing CEO Sol Trujillo said Lamming had led one of the world's largest, most ambitious and complex IT transformations.

"As a result of Tom's world-class leadership and hard work, Telstra's transformed IT systems are operating at scale and providing a single, integrated view of customers that will enable Telstra to deliver an unparalleled customer experience," he said.

Trujillo explained that more than seven million customers have been moved to the new platform, and that more than 400 legacy systems and platforms have been decommissioned.

For his part, Lamming said "All successful transformations are driven from the top. The sustained commitment of Sol and his entire leadership team is without equal. They are a first-rate group of leaders.

"We also could never have achieved what we have with the IT transformation without the skills and the hard work of so many people in Telstra who come to work every day dedicated to making a real difference for our customers.

What else did Lamming say, and which other Telstra executives have left recently quoting similar reasons? See page 2.
