That would take the minimum monthly charge to $US59 in an attempt to widen the market of potential iPhone users. According to The Street, the story originates with Cote Collaborative's Michael Cole. There's a general expectation that the 2009 iPhone will be introduced at the WorldWide Developers Conference (WWDC) next month. Information about the iPhone 3.0 software was revealed by Apple in March. At the other end of the spectrum, there are also reports (eg, MacBlogz) that AT&T is working on a high-end "everything" plan to compete with Sprint's Palm Pre plans. While this new plan will allow tethering (aka 'handset as a modem') - something currently possible only with a jailbroken iPhone - it may not continue with the current unlimited data offering.
