Mac OS X 10.5.7 to debut on Friday? E-mail

You could be forgiven for losing interest in the subject, but the latest tip is that Mac OS X 10.5.7 will be released this Friday, US time.

We know from the developer releases that Mac OS X 10.5.7 fixes a stack of bugs (notably relating to graphics, networking, Bluetooth and synchronisation issues), and reportedly delivers support for the ATI Radeon 4870 video card for the Mac Pro.

Every few days during April seemed to bring a fresh rumour that 10.5.7 was about to be released, but it didn't materialise.

Now MacLife claims "a super-secret Apple source" says Friday is the day.

Assuming May 8 is the Friday in question, it won't be long until we find out if MacLife's source is the real deal or just another pretender.

Excuse me while I yawn.
