The CSIRO has signed an agreement with Indian ICT company, Infosys, under which the two organisations will cooperate on R&D and Infosys will assist in commercialising CSIRO's intellectual property.

As part of the cooperation agreement, Infosys also signed a licence agreement for CSIRO's Panoptic search engine, which it intends to evaluate for possible integration into Infosys' financial applications.

Subsequent commercialisation projects will include the mobile video search technology developed by CSIRO under its Annodex standard.
