Vodafone UK sells phones from vending machines

Vodafone in the UK has installed the first vending machine to dispense mobile phones. It is being piloted in Vodafone stores in the northern city of Manchester and offers a choice of three phones with prepaid call credits from £30 as well as SIM-only package costing £5.
