5 Best Practices for Smartphone Support
The pace of successive builds has picked up and the number of changes in each has fallen, leading to speculation that the release of 10.5.7 is imminent. Developer builds were emerging from Cupertino on a weekly basis, but only four days passed between each of the last three builds. According to multiple reports, the only change in build 9J50 (which reached developers this week) was a fix for an issue concerning Bluetooth personal areas networking. The only known issue with 9J50 is that the the Safari 4 beta only installs on Mac OS 10.5.6. My interpretation is that this is a deliberate move by Apple in order to avoid any confusion over the source of issues, as Safari 4 makes extensive 'under the hood' changes to 10.5.6. What other 'chicken entrails' are being read to predict an imminent release of 10.5.7? See page two. |
