engin's paying customers grow E-mail

Broadband telephone company engin Ltd (ASX:ENG) reached 10,000 paid services in the quarter ended 30 September 2005, up 67% on 30 June 2005. The total subscriber base as at 30 September exceeds 14,000, accoring to the company.

Ilkka Tales, engin’s CEO, said: “This growth is continuing into the December quarter with connection rates already up by 20 per cent compared with the month of September. engin is now connecting 3000 subscriber services a month, reflecting the continued increase in public acceptance of VoIP. Our cash flow is on target as at the end of September and the company expects to reach cash break-even in this financial year.

“Furthermore, engin’s existing wholesale partners are experiencing substantial growth by bundling engin’s services with their broadband offerings,” he said. “We have extended relationships from four wholesale partners to 11 wholesale partners.”

According to the company, the majority of engin’s growth is coming from existing customer referrals.
