This film is set before the previous X-Men trilogy and explains how an ordinary man became the fierce, animal-like Wolverine, imbued with retractable metal claws. Visit your local shopping centre and you’ll be sure to encounter Wolverine-festooned merchandise: blankets, lunchboxes, the works. I’m sure you’ve seen it before. Yet, what you likely will not have seen before is Wolverine RAM! Yes, I kid you not. Kingston Technology has today launched two X-Men Origins: Wolverine special edition products. The first is a DataTraveler 101 USB flash drive. For your hard-earned you get a USB memory stick branded with the movie logo pre-loaded with content such as trailers, wallpapers, instant messaging (IM) icons and coming attractions. That’s actually pretty nice if you’re a Wolverine fan. What I find it somewhat more unusual though is Kingston’s second special edition product, ValueRAM chips. These chips are regular RAM, they go inside your desktop or server computer. Your friends and colleagues won’t know you have special Wolverine RAM so I think this product really ought to have come with a “Wolverine Inside” sticker. Nevertheless, Kingston don’t want anyone to feel they’ve missed out.
