Yet another Telstra announcement on 21Mbps Next G wireless has arrived,
this time toutin’ the fast talkin’, world record holdin’ Fran Capo on
her Australian tour, to show off her Guinness World Record motor mouth
and speedily segue into a spiel on the sizzlin’ speeds and in-store
availability of Telstra’s 21Mbps wireless modems. Featured Whitepaper

This latest promotion is taking a talking tack as Telstra feels the need to advertise its need for customers wanting speed - through a rather unique mouthpiece, so to speak. That mouthpiece is Fran Capo, the current Guinness World Record holder as the “world’s fastest talking woman” – with three Guinness records under her belt. Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a voice synthesizer on steroids and able to launch into long sentences with a single larynx movement, Capo is a strange visitor from another planet (New York) who came to Australia with vocal powers and abilities far beyond those of other men and women. Capo – who can change the course of mighty conversation, bend talking points with her bare chords, and who, disguised as a fast talking and probably not very mild mannered Telstra representative, is promoting the never ending battle for Speed, Throughput and the Next G Way. Clearly, Capo is a super woman! Capo “holds a record for being the world’s fastest talking female after she clocked an amazing 603.32 words in 54.2 seconds”, which is 11 words a second, qualifying her in Telstra’s mind as an ideal candidate “to communicate the need for speed and how Australians can benefit from the BigPond 21 USB Mobile Card”. Capo (quickly?) exclaimed: “I am so excited to come to Australia to celebrate the launch of BigPond’s 21 USB Mobile Card – as you can imagine I’m right behind anything that’s fast and can keep up with me, especially when we’re both Guinness World Record holders! It’s pretty cool that Australians can now access mobile content faster than ever right in their own backyard, thanks to the new world-first technology.” Presumably at a much slower pace, Telstra’s Executive Director of its Consumer Division, Ms Glenice Maclellan, said that “Telstra BigPond customers will be the winners as they will be able to experience super fast mobile broadband. “The new 21 USB Mobile Card gives customers access to news, movies, music and sport in real-time, for example they can download a YouTube video of Fran Capo two times faster than the next fastest 3G device on the market!” concluded Maclellan. So, where can you see Fran Capo in action? Details of her in-store T-Life appearances are on page 2, please read on! |
