Global technology services provider, CSC, has inked a five-year IT contract extension with retailer Kmart Australia, in a deal valued at around $36.4 million (US$25 m).

The extension of the deal with Kmart means that CSC will continue to provide comprehensive infrastructure systems and operations support services for more than 400 Kmart and Kmart Tyre and Auto retailers across Australia. The original contract was signed by CSC in 2004 with Coles Myer, owners of Kmart at the time.

CSC’s Australian president, Nick Wilkinson, says CSC is a leading provider of IT services in Victoria with a portfolio of clients that include ITSS, Powercor-Citipower, D&B Australia and Tenix Solutions.

Wilkinson says CSC has worked hard to build a strong relationship with Kmart and is working closely with them and leveraging skills to drive improvements that benefit both companies.

“During tough economic times, this contract extension is a testament to our ability to deliver the results our clients need. We are 100 percent committed to continue working alongside Kmart to help them fulfil their business objectives and look forward to further strengthening an already solid relationship.”
