Business management software vendor, Sybiz, says escalating sales volumes in the Australian and New Zealand market has brought about two new appointments to its sales and marketing team.

Sybiz’s managing director, Peter Whalley said today the company was “truly defying” the global downturn and, after recording its best quarter ever to the end of 2008, it had commenced 2009 with a strong sales pipeline of SMEs seeking a business system as their foundation for growth.

To meet greater sales demands, Whalley said Teneille Leslie had joined Sybiz as sales and marketing co-ordinator for Australia and Neil Landers had joined the company’s New Zealand team as channel manager.

Prior to Sybiz, Leslie worked for almost two years at the University of Sydney as marketing and projects co-ordinator.

According to Whalley, Leslie will be responsible for co-ordinating sales and marketing initiatives in Australia, in particular by providing market intelligence that would help prospective customers clarify how and where Sybiz’s business systems would support their growth path.

Based in Sybiz’s Auckland office, Landers has more than six years technical sales experience and three years experience selling business software through with Sage and Xero.
