Power supply provider APC by Schneider Electric, has appointed a new data centre solutions advisor for the Pacific region to promote its energy efficient data centre solutions and to develop key partnerships in the region.

APC announced the appointment of Adam Wilkinson to the position, which it says is line with its Asia-Pacific growth strategy. With responsibility for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific islands, Wilkinson has been charged with identifying new business opportunities in the data centre market as well as raising APC’s profile throughout the region.

Gordon Makryllos, APC ‘s country general manager for Australia and New Zealand said  that as the company’s business matured it needed to continue investing in strategic resources that would fuel and support growth.

Wilkinson, who has been with APC for seven years, said power and cooling was at the top of every data centre managers’ agenda and with APC’s continued investment into developing innovative data centre solutions it was a great time to be taking on the role.

Schneider Electric acquired APC in 2007 and combined it with MGE UPS Systems to form Schneider Electric’s critical power & cooling services business unit.
