Late last week, 10.5.7 build 9J27 went out to Apple's third-party development community for testing purposes. Developer builds give developers an opportunity to provide feedback to Apple based on their testing and to get started on any revisions to their own programs required by the updated operating system. According to the seed notes accompanying 9J27 (as published by World of Apple), the new build fixes at least nine issues present in 9J22. These include certain problems relating to synchronisation, Time Capsule and parental controls. It's not clear from the notes whether or not Apple is convinced that a tenth issue - "with AC interrupts and Sleep/Wake" - has actually been fixed. Which functions are developers being asked to focus on, and when might 10.5.7 arrive? See page 2. |
