The company says it will work with AANRO and their stakeholders, to implement a system using the company’s core WCM software that “will inspire users to interact online both as a researcher and publisher.” According to Netcat’s general manager of sales, Stephen Walker, at a time of great concern for preservation of natural assets and effective sustainable agricultural programs, the new AANRO site, representing some 42 constituent organisations, would be “all about quality information, accessibility and usability.” “In the words of AANRO,” says Walker, “the most desirable online presence would be characterised, among other outcomes, by content that is current, accurate and authoritative and instils confidence in the information; fast, accessible information for all; information that is easy to navigate and find and, functionality that enables users to manage and manipulate the information they find for their individual needs.” Walker claims that Netcat’s success in working with public sector organisations on large information-rich web sites, focused on knowledge management and distribution, demonstrated the company’s track record in this demanding area. |
