If there is one thing recruiters and candidates agree upon it's that keeping CVs up to date and in an easily searched format is a pain. Enter one of Australia's largest IT recruiters Finite IT, add online CV specialist iProfile and presto 200,000 IT professionals now have standardised online CVs, which can be accessed, updated and shared from any computer, anywhere in the world.Featured Whitepaper

UK-based iProfile has about 95% of the IT recruitment industry in the UK on board and launched an office in Australia last year in cooperation with peak IT recruitment body ITCRA. The aim is to first get all of Australian IT recruiters using the service and eventually the wider recruitment industry. Finite, one of the big three Australian IT recruiters is the first cab off the rank to put its massive candidate database on iProfile with fellow big three recruiter Paxus already announcing its intention to adopt the service. Tracy Thomson, MD of Finite IT, says: "We tend to have a cautious scepticism about new technologies but the opportunity that the iProfile presented us was too good to miss. Providing our candidates with the best possible service is paramount to us and the iProfile is a proven, award winning product that will enable us to match them to IT jobs faster than ever before." According to Finite's general manager Duncan Thomson, all candidates on the Finite database will be informed automatically that they have been given an iProfile. "Each person that sends their CV to Finite or registers at www.finite.com.au will be automatically introduced to the iProfile service and will instantly see the benefits of using the 21st century online CV over a traditional CV," says Mr Thomson. "For the first time, users will have immediate visibility over who’s received it, who’s viewed it, plus it encourages direct feedback from recruiters. Unlike other recruiters' offerings to candidates the iProfile is unique in that once built the candidate takes ownership of it such that they can re-use it whenever and wherever they want. "iProfile holders are encouraged to log their achievements, skills and successes whenever possible rather than waiting until they are job seeking again. Furthermore, the iProfile is much more secure than sending your CV randomly in response to job adverts – considering ID fraud is becoming an increasingly important issue, the iProfile is one way that IT professionals can ensure their personal details remain safe as they control who has access to it at anytime."
