Alcatel-Lucent's channel manager, Rebecca Hick, said the partnership with Zintel would benefit New Zealand's rapidly evolving enterprise market as companies begin to fulfil the vision of the 'dynamic enterprise' vision that "ties together a business' key resources of network, people, process and knowledge to deliver a superior customer experience." Hick said the partnership would enable Zintel to deliver Alcatel-Lucent's IP telephony, network infrastructure, contact centres, mobility and unified communications solutions and enable Zintel to address large businesses including those in the healthcare industry and government customers. Zintel's managing director, Peter Revell added: "The Alcatel-Lucent enterprise portfolio further complements Zintel's IP network infrastructure and integration capability, providing a competitive edge not seen elsewhere in the market." Zintel was established in 1995. Its customers include Mighty River Power, the New Zealand Police, the Department of Internal Affairs and TVNZ. It comprises two businesses, Communications and Enterprise, which provide businesses with a broad range of telecommunications and ICT services from toll free and toll services to integrated communications solutions based around Aastra (formerly Ericsson Enterprise), GMT Workforce Management, Juniper data networking and now Alcatel-Lucent products. The company employs over 120 staff and has offices in Sydney, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. |
