Sundays are for shopping, friends and Internet porn E-mail

When do you watch the most online porn? OK, let's rephrase that: when is the most popular time for watching adult videos online? The answer might just surprise you.

The Chinese are currently trying hard to eradicate Internet porn completely. Former US President George W Bush has even been accused of paying for it.

Young women are apparently OK with it and your web browser might even have a mode for watching it in private.

One thing is for sure, and that is the simple fact that Internet porn remains as popular as ever. Of course, it is more popular on some days rather than others.

While you might think that maybe Friday or Saturday night would be the peak time for porn, you would be wrong. Similarly, the small wee hours mid-week are not top of the perverts pops either.

Nope, the most popular time for watching pornographic videos online (Oat least in the UK) is on Sunday morning. According to one adult video on demand service, just after 11am on Sunday morning has proven to be the busiest time of the week.

Alki David, the founder of the video on demand service which provided the statistics, told the BBC that the data applied "to both men and women" and poses the question of what has happened to "the traditional day of rest."

Interestingly, while porn is most popular on a Sunday, family movies peak on Wednesdays and sports titles on a Saturday.

One wonders if Internet Sundays can be cleaned up now the Pope is using YouTube?
