Hubbub about Jobs' health picked up again when it was revealed that he would not give his traditional keynote address at Macworld Expo earlier this month. Speculation continued when Jobs released an open letter saying his weight loss was due to "a hormone imbalance" with a "relatively simple and straightforward" remedy. Another statement was issued just over a week later, this time revealing that Jobs would take a medical leave of absence until the end of June, as his "health issues are more complex than I originally thought." Apple COO Tim Cook is to look after day-to-day management, with Jobs planning "to remain involved in major strategic decisions".
