Ontrack’s general manager, Asia Pacific, Adrian Briscoe, said PowerControls 5.1 allows IT administrators to easily and efficiently share and restore items from a SharePoint database. According to Briscoe, administrators familiar with Ontrack PowerControls software for Exchange could now apply time and cost saving recovery capabilities to what he said was a widely used enterprise content management (ECM) application. Briscoe maintained that while SharePoint Server 2007 had advantageous ECM capabilities, “the human management element all too often posed data loss risks to users and companies that relied on this data collaboration tool." |
