Extreme Networks’ Regional Director, Australia & New Zealand, Simon Barnard, said: "In the current economic situation organisations need to ensure they select high quality suppliers that can deliver significant total cost of ownership (TCO) benefits, and this is a precise fit with Extreme Networks’ capabilities, which I will be promoting vigorously." Barnard said the No 3 market share (behind Cisco and Alcatel-Lucent) news from analyst Heavy Reading was a timely impetus for his expansion plans for the region. He said: “We are actively looking to expand our channel partners to provide greater coverage nationally and to broaden our market coverage. The current economic climate is squeezing system integrators profits and we are able to offer them significant cost savings with our range of Ethernet switches that will enable them to grow their business and margins. “We have a small focused sales team in Australia/New Zealand which will be increased shortly and then again in the new fiscal year to meet our business goals.” |
