The researchers also tested the beer-marinated steaks and the red-wine-marinated steaks for smell, taste, and appearance. Specifically, people on two trained sensory panels preferred the beer-marinated steaks over the red-wine-marinated steaks. However, BBC News report in the article “Marinating 'may cut cancer risk'” that “… experts said the effect on health was likely to be minimal.” The BBC News article quotes a cancer expert.
