The NASA article continues, “Young Claus noted that Santa had upgraded flight electronic control elements in the sleigh fleet, including adding the TACAN and Microwave Scanning Beam Landing (MSBLS) systems used by the Space Shuttle.”

Nicholas Claus stated,  "He can land on a dime and get 20 cents change in virtual pea soup, zero-zero conditions. He can fly right down a chimney and not even get any soot on the runners."

Kris Kringle is the legendary jolly figure that each year brings gifts to good little boys and girls on Christmas Eve, December 24.

Santa is assisted in this global endeavor by a team of elves at his home base (Santa's Workshop) at the North Pole.

Father Christmas’ sleigh is pulled by flying reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder (Dunder), and Blitzen (Blixem), along with Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.

Further information about these famous reindeer, please go to Santa’s Eight Reindeer and Rudolph.

Also, visit “The Legendary Role of Reindeer at Christmas.”

In addition, read the original version of “Account of a Visit from St. Nicolas” as appearing in the December 23, 1823 Troy Sentinel (Troy, New York, U.S.A.) newspaper.
