Conroy, don’t keep the Internet filtering trials secret: Minchin E-mail

Parental and in-school education of the dangers and benefits of the Internet is key. Put control into the hands of parents – why does it need to be mandated from “above”?

Is the loss of freedom worth it?

As Benjamin Franklin said: “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Thank you Senator Stephen Conroy, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, the entire Rudd Labor Government and all those who support Internet filtering for working so hard to make Benjamin Franklin's prediction come true.

Ye shall always be remembered for it: website wise, Internet foolish. A freedom earned is a freedom stolen.

RIP Australian Internet. You never even got to work at true broadband speeds on a national basis (caught up in the NBN - the National BS Network) before you were killed by stupid Government policies. Sniff.

To help stop the above apocalpytic scenarios from coming true, go to the GetUp! website and support the "Save the Net!" campaign.

Now!
