It can display the Missal in addition to the principal Catholic prayers of the day. "The application... has got the approval and the encouragement of the Vatican," said Fr Padrini. A day's prayers and readings are downloaded all at once, so you could grab them via Wi-Fi at home in the morning and have then available for the rest of the day without needing to eat into your 3G data allowance. It also allows the size of the text to be adjusted. iBreviary is available from Apple's App Store for €0.79 ($US0.99/$A1.19). The revenue is being used to fund further development and to support the restoration of the Pineda Refuge in Fr Padrini's parish. |
