BigAir CEO, Jason Ashton said: “The range of wireless technologies available today allows BigAir to offer symmetric, business grade broadband at speeds up to 1000 Mbps." However the company has not said what speeds will be available to Perth customers. BigAir says it is actively seeking new channel partnerships with existing IT resellers and ISPs and claims to be able to offer "a competitive reseller program as well as direct wholesale access to [our] network at very competitive rates." BigAir is presently fending off a hostile takeover bid from rival WiMAX network operator, Clever Communications (ASX: CVA). Clever announced on 16 December that it's offer for BigAir shares was now unconditional. At the time of the announcement, it held 13.5 percent of BigAir equity. |
