The crew of the International Space Station has beamed holiday greetings to all humans on Earth and we have the ability to uplink a holiday postcard to the three ISS astronauts via a NASA website. I'm sure Scotty will beam them up to the Station!

Season’s greetings have been recorded by the International Space Station (ISS) Expedition 18 crewmembers.

These three high-flying Expedition 18 space travelers consist of ISS commander and U.S. astronaut Michael Fincke, ISS flight engineer and Russian cosmonaut Yury Lonchakov, and ISS flight engineer and U.S. astronaut Sandra Magnus.

These holiday greetings will air on NASA Television (check your local broadcasting channels) beginning on Friday, December 12, 2008.

The ISS crew's greetings will appear on the Web's NASA TV as part of the daily Video File, beginning at 11 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST), Friday, December 12, 2008.

According to NASA, the video also will be broadcast in high definition on the NASA TV HD channel on Dec. 15-17 at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m.

In return, we Earthlings can return the festive gesture by going to the NASA website “NASA postcards to the International Space Station,” selecting one of four postcards, and recording a personal message to the two men (one American and one Russian) and one American woman onboard the Space Station.

Page two tells more about the holiday postcards, along with my personal Christmas greeting to the ISS crew.
