Interestingly, that honour goes to his rival - no not John McCain - Sarah Palin. In terms of news searches, Obama was beaten by American Idol, McCain, Olympics and Hurricane Ike. Obama also lost out on image searches, with Sarah Palin once again taking the top spot. Obama did come a close second though, followed by twilight and Miley Cyrus with the Joker bringing up the year. Twilight could only take second spot in the fastest rising book searches for the US though, falling behind Breaking Dawn. In third place was Lora Leigh followed by Vampire Kisses and New Moon. |
