Then we come to SingStar ABBA, riding the wake of the resurgence in popularity for the Swedish former Eurovision Song Contest winners. With Mama Mia the stage and Cinema versions being immensely popular, it was a no-brainer to bring ABBA to SingStar. Not that they had gone away, there are many a burned in mental image of 21st birthday parties involving middle aged women murdering “Dancing Queen” between renditions of “Time Warp” and “Shake Your Tailfeather”. Still now they can get out all their ABBA stardom dreams at home, in the words of my wife “ ... my girlfriends and I would have killed for this type of game when we were little girls”. Though missing “Honey, Honey” from both the PS2 and PS3 versions was disappointing to the ABBA fans that surround me.
